Really great! Brenden right away put me at ease. He was talkative, asked questions and was extremely enjoyable. He was dressed up, which was lovely (constantly like seeing a man make the effort).

Where we both lived abroad, lockdowns, job circumstance, households, journeys, cooking (we both love food), hobbies, relationships, checking out … We didn’t stop.

I entered not anticipating anything more than a lovely evening of chat. Pandemic virtual dating can be soul-destroying, so I wasn’t hoping for excessive, simply a spark of enjoyable and interest, some common ground.

Impression?

Absolutely captivating, with a disarming smile.

What did you speak about?

A bit of everything, from Cajun and French cooking, to cheeses, English wine, future family hopes. Our shared love of jazz, and 80s music. Leading three travel destinations we would wish to see sooner or later quickly. We matched on 2 of them …

Any awkward moments?

Not a single one.

Good table good manners?

We talked a lot that we didn’t actually get to eating. I munched on my cheese plate a little. However the conversation was so simple that we just kept talking.

Such a warm, down-to-earth disposition and a fantastic, joy-filled energy. Genuinely genuine.
